What do people think of the idea that Farcaster might be *too polite*? Like, people love to rail against the toxicity of twitter, but ultimately it's a PvP MMORPG and lots of people really enjoy the PvP - if not participating, then at least seeing some fireworks in the background...

I like the behaviour dichotomy between the twitter and Farcaster.

AGI is an existential risk as much as climate change, but the discourse is totally fucked up. We should be articulating facts, promoting mutual understanding, and proposing workable policies, but we are talking fiction and nuclear exchange to stop AGI.

I'm a writer and freelancer (dev), so ever since landing a viral post in HN, I noticed that potential customers reach out via emails for new jobs (contracting).

But becoming reliant on HN, I've noticed that their community isn't a great fit as my audience. They hate crypto devs!

To answer, could you give a sense of what kind of thing the score is supposed to indicate?

In credit scores, the purpose is to indicate something like future likelihood of promised payment. 

What is the analogous “thing measured” here?

I think, though even that can have multiple goals (eg, in China it is “good citizen” but in Reddit it is “good contributor”)

The FC fast food discourse reminds me of being a fry cook at KFC.  

You had to be 16 to work, I was 15 but nobody bothered to check until months later someone in payroll figured it out and called the manager. I was fired but they called me at home on my 16th birthday asking if I wanted my job back. I had moved on.

Questions for current and previous Redditors:

1) Are you still using Reddit, and for how many years?

2) Do you find the ads on Reddit relevant?

3) Do you enjoy the direction that Reddit has taken the years?

4) Should Reddit heavily moderate, or take a "Elon Twitter" approach?
