DAOs should be single purpose so they are more likely to achieve their stated purpose.  However, DAO infrastructure is overly complex for a single purpose that is short-lived.  A multi-sig is adequate.  DAOs seem to be best suited for single-purpose entities with undefined periods of inactivity and evolving leadership.

I think these things will usually be undefined bets. Concrete example: self-driving cars. Better transit for everyone. Less deaths. But we are delegating death scenario decisions to a machine and different TBD people will die than in a human driving world.

If the by far fastest way to increase the baseline quality of life for humans has a side effect of killing net less people BUT it’s different people dying than those that die in the status quo, is that acceptable to you?
